Keeping Track Of Time

1) Monitor your students' progress and walk around to individual students to see if they need help
2) Help students understand concepts but don't simply give out answers
3) Time management: As best you can, it is a good idea to break up procedures into manageable time blocks and give verbal announcements about where students should be at various timepoints of the lab. Although most students will be grateful for your efforts to keep them on task, there are two types of students that can make this a difficult chore:

  • the student who just wants to get out of there
  • the student who never finishes on time
