Grading Methods

Division of workload

Stanford University's website “In large classes with multiple TAs, meet in order to discuss potential answers to questions on exams and approaches taken on papers. See how others would grade a particular answer. It helps to divide up exam grading by question, so that one person grades each question. Not only does this ensure consistency in marking, but you can also benefit from economies of scale.”

For less objective grading, TAs grade 5-7 exams, confirm with professor, recalibrate scoring if necessary, and continue to the end.
