Constructing assessments with the instructor in a multi-TA setting

Drawing TAs into the assessment process, especially when constructing the grading rubric, should not be be equated with lack of decisiveness by professor. In fact, given that TAs are often responsible for re-conveying the course information to the students on a more intimate level, TAs may sometimes have a better idea of what responses might be expected, based on the skills and performance of students during discussion sections.
